Vans Californication Collection Holiday 2009 Switchback Boots

Vans have been dropping some gems. I can't help but to go to the nearest Vans dealer tommorow and get me some new pairs. I like these because of the simple colorway. I could rock these with a lot of different shit. Wtf is up with the kicks being next to a pool though lol.

For Holiday 2009 Vans will be introducing the Switchback boots as part of the Californication Collection. The boot will be coming out in two colorways, featuring premium suede and coated canvas uppers, making sure your feet stay dry and warm. The lacing comes close to a traditional boot, whereas the rest of the boot reminds more of a mid-cut sneaker. Look out for a release in October 2009.

Truthfully I’m aspiring to be PAID!, like for real I know it sounds shallow but as long as I’m paid I’m happy. So my hustle gotta be 100% legal. So I guess to be honest the thing I love more than anything is designing and if ya’ll don’t know by now holla at me and check my designs, nothing to flashy but not mundane. What got you into it and what makes you different from anyone else in that particular game?
To be real my game is as strong all these other cats , but they got paper backing them even though It appears I go as hard as these dudes in fact I go harder cuz one thing I learnt, when you got paper all other shit falls into place, like for example I snap shots that come out as dope as the next man’s. What or who do you look at for inspiration?

I look to a couple people mainly family, and friends but some people who have been role models to me from a young age just because I looked up to these cats they are pioneers im talking about people such as, Karl Lagerfeld, Ralph Lauren, Chris Stamp, Nigo, Kanye West, Chad Hugo, Pharrell Williams, Sheldon Haley ect.
But recently ive been speaking to close friends like my boy L.J (last week's The Cool) for inspiration and for opinions it’s good to bounce ideas off another smart dude in a similar situation and environment as you.

Besides that do you have anything else you like doing on the side?
Well I’m a big comic book geek, and I love to sleep, like sleeping is the shit!, and the main hobby I have is probably shopping , I know sounds kind of gay but fuck y’all! Im FRESH hahaha!

What makes Malcolm the coolest fucking bastard in the planet?
We can start with the fact I’m being interviewed by a dope ass mo’fuka from the other side of the globe and I’m from a fucked up Nastyville place called derby that’s gotta count for something. Another thing being everything I ever done is from me for me, I aint ever had help from a rich daddy or no bull shit I started at the bottom so the tops the only place I can go!
And at the age of 17 I got more fucking style than anyone I know! And believe me I know some peeps HAHA.

I agree It will be hot, but bape and clot are looking pretty fierce this year, but keep your eyes peeled for cloth surgeon that’s gonna blow up, and to be realistic H&M have had a great year so far with the aids awareness rally and summer season so look out for that too.

Hottest sneaker to come out in 2009?
Hands down the Nike Air Yeezy’s But I am feeling the Jordan L’style’s that Wale previewed in his “chillin” video. They release fall/winter 09. I’m also feeling the Nike air max 90 GS fire hydrants that right there is a hot shoe , love the colour way also the Puma Mita Clyde is a beautiful looking sneaker! But overall the Yeezy gets the gold.

Lee: I photograph a lot of bullshit, like to just do some stupid frestyles around the house, get on my sisters nerves haha...I'm addicted to all things fly; clothing, kicks, girls, technology...you know how we do this! I'm startin 2 produce music too man, be on the lookout for that!
Really though, I aspire to either do something within music, photography or fashion...ideally I'd love to be on G.O.O.D music but that ain't happening right now, or a fashion/music photographer like my boy Neil Bedford (www.keefurban.com)

-Who or what do you look at for inspiration?

Lee: A lot of the time it's just people and thigns around me, but a lot of inspiration is from the online blogs and fashion sources; and we can't forget the big dudes who are just killing it, you know your Pharrell's, kanYe's, Lupe's, Jay-Z...you know the big ones!
My parents are a big inspiration to me though, both my parents came to this country not as british citizens and for them to have what they have and to raise a family the way the have is crazy, so mad props to my parents!

-What got you into doing this and how far are you willing to take it?

Lee: The music I just always been into it from a young age, I'm the youngest of 11 kids with the oldest one being like 40+ so all the types of music that have gone through my house is just crazy!
I'm willing to take it all the way with music, "from the bottom so the tops the only place to go now" you feel me man, the possibilities are endless with music too.
Fashion..well I'm just fly...haha I'm kidding, I got 6 sisters and they are into their clothes and stuff; they taught me well and to always keep a good appearance about myself!

-What makes you different and fucking cooler than the rest of the world?

Lee: Who the fuck has 10 brothers and sisters, comes from some little shitty town, a college dropout...BUT STILL RUNS SHIT LIKE A TRUE BOSS?!

I've been partying pretty rockstar-ish with The Recipe crew ever since I got back. I feel guilty saying this cause I'm a Nikehead but I think the Adidas party killed the shit. I was with Swerte, Blanche aka Lady Bla Bla, Unqle Rick, Maysam, Stevie, and a few cats that came and went (no homo).

Party was dope. They tried to turn the VIP section of Club Alpha to a little house party and shit. One room was like the living room, the other was the bathroom, i forgot what the other one was. But I do remember killing shit playing Pac Man on the corner.
The free booze ran through like (enter name of rusty girl here) gets with all the cool fools in the city. LOL!

There was a bunch of cute girls in there but if you actually give them 30 mins it almost seems like there's something wrong with each and every one of them. There was one girl I liked watching though. She had mammary glands the size of my head. It was awesome. Anyways the guys decided to take 'taking a shit' pics on the shittahhh. Released today, the above image is said to be the official cover for Eminem's Relapse album. The work is a collage, made of prescription pills. Going along with the theme, Eminem's government name appears again on this album, with "Prescribed by Dr. Dre" also included on the bottle-sized label.

According to this edition, the album, as promised, will release May 19, 2009 on Shady/Aftermath/Interscope Records.
